About Kelly Kleifges, CRNP

Kelly Kleifges is a Board-Certified Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) at Metro Orthopedics and Sports Therapy where she currently serves as the Director of Women’s Health. As a female athlete, pregnancy with her two amazing children, and postpartum Kelly understands the physical and emotional challenges of women today, and wants to make sure women of all ages have access to the most advanced treatments and health maintenance options. Kelly blends a holistic approach with traditional medicine to address health maintenance in addition to a number of common health concerns including hormone imbalances, menopause, PCOS, thyroid health, weight management and other chronic diseases like diabetes and osteoporosis. Kelly utilizes traditional and cutting edge techniques including Regenerative Medicine to treat patients. In addition to Women’s Health, Kelly currently sees new and returning patients specializing in nonoperative orthopedics and preoperative counseling and clearance.  

Kelly grew up in Maryland and attended The Bullis School in Potomac, MD. Kelly earned her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Public Health from Tulane University. Kelly furthered her education at Regis University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She began her career in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Emergency Room for over six years. Kelly completed her education at Georgetown University where she obtained her Master of Science Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. 

Kelly believes in a comprehensive and compassionate approach to diagnosis and treatment and takes pride in promoting a patient-centered approach. She finds it engaging and rewarding to help patients maintain, or return to an active lifestyle through the provision of thorough, thoughtful, and empathetic care.  Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending her time with her husband, dog, and two young children going to parks, running, and being as active as possible.
