Eran Kessous, M.D.

Dr. Kessous completed his sports medicine training at Harvard Medical School's Children's Hospital, in Boston.

Dr. Kessous received his medical degree from St. George's University in 1999. He then completed a surgical internship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. After three years as a general and orthopedic surgery resident at Tel Aviv Medical Center, he returned to Boston to complete a family medicine residency at Boston University Medical Center.

During his sports medicine fellowship, Dr. Kessous was responsible for preventing, diagnosing and treating injuries for Boston Ballet dancers and Northeastern University athletic teams. In addition, Dr. Kessous has worked with various sporting events, including the Boston Marathon and the AT&T USA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Dr. Kessous is the director and founder of the Montgomery Sports Medicine Center in Silver Spring. He is an appointed clinical assistant professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he teaches sports medicine and musculoskeletal workshops to medical residents and students. 

Dr. Kessous is married to Sarah and has three children—Daniel, Maya, and Naomi. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
