Head of Womens Sports Medicine/Wellness at Metro Orthopaedics and Sports Therapy, Teresa, in tandem with Dr. James Gilbert, have helped athletes and non-athletes alike. Through diet, exercise, and nutrition, we are passionate about helping to achieve their goals and focusing on their overall well-being. Teresa has been a competitive swimmer since the age of 6. As an age group swimmer, she as been ranked on a national and world level. At age 15, she was invited by the US Olympic Committee to train at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. In 1984, she competed in the US Olympic Trials. She then went on to the University of Tennessee where, as a freshman, was All-American and competed in the NCAA National Championships. She continues to be ranked by US Swimming. Teresa is a board certified Physician Assistant through the NCCPA. She is a member of the AAPA. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science/Health Policy from the University of Tennessee and Towson University. Then went on to receive her Physician Assistant Degree from Anne Arundel Community College. Teresa is licensed in the State of Maryland. With over 10 years experience as a Physician Assistant in Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, she is passionate about both her career and inspiring others to reach their full potential. |
