Randy Rocha, Athletic Director

Randy Rocha is a certified athletic trainer and the Director of Sports Medicine at MOST, where he has been employed since 1995, and appointed directorship in 1999. He is a 1995 graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Athletic Training. Upon graduation, he was hired as an athletic trainer at MOST in August of 1995, and quickly became the head trainer of both Walt Whitman and Walter Johnson High Schools. In 1996 he became the head trainer and strength & conditioning coach of the Washington Warthogs, a professional indoor men’s soccer team until the league folded in 1997. He later became the head trainer and strength coach of the Maryland Pride, the highest division of women’s soccer at the time, and also began working as the head trainer of Springbrook High School. In 2001, the women’s professional soccer league began (WUSA) and Randy was hired as the head trainer and strength & conditioning coach of the Washington Freedom. MOST became the proud sponsor and official sports medicine team of the Washington Freedom until the WUSA folded in 2003. Randy was soon hired by DC United as the head strength & conditioning coach until 2006. In 2008, he became an Olympian as the strength & conditioning coach of the US Men’s Soccer Team in Beijing, China. Randy still maintains a contracted relationship with DC United and is once again the head strength coach of the Washington Freedom for the new WPS professional soccer league. He prides himself on reducing the risks of ACL injuries, especially in the female athlete, holds seminars, and annually develops programs for local high school and club teams. |
Thomas Crassas, PT,MSPT, OCS, CSCS

Thomas graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology. While completing this degree, Thomas attained his personal training certification from the National Endurance and Strength Training Association. Thomas then went on to achieve a Master of Science Degree from the George Washington University in physical therapy in 2006. Being interested specifically in sports medicine and orthopedics, Thomas earned the titles of both Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2007 and Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics from the American Physical Therapy Association in 2009. Thomas is currently pursuing his Doctorate degree in physical therapy at Shenandoah University. Thomas has had extensive clinical work at Walter Reed Medical Center, National Rehab Hospital, Johns Hopkins, and sports medicine facilities focusing on orthopedic manual therapy. |
