Zack Delgado, ATC

Zack is a Certified Athletic Trainer at M.O.S.T. since November of 2006. Zack obtained his Bachelor of Science from Salisbury University and his Athletic Training Certification from the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification. While at Salisbury University, Zack worked with Field Hockey, Basketball, and as the senior student-athletic trainer for the Baseball team. Upon graduation, Zack completed his Practicum in Sports Medicine at Georgetown University where he worked with the Men’s Soccer team and the Football team during the Fall of 2006. While at M.O.S.T., Zack has also served as the Head Athletic Trainer at The Connelly School of the Holy Child in Potomac, MD. During this last year of 2009, Zack also started working as an athletic trainer for the D.C. United Youth Academy where he has had the opportunity to travel around the U.S. and help with the care and development of young soccer players. As a college student-athlete Zack played three years of soccer, a sport he loves and continues to play in the present. Zack is also a vivid baseball fan.

Marisa Vasselli, MS, ATC

Marisa Vasselli, MS, ATC

Marisa Vasselli is employed by MOST as a certified athletic trainer. She received her Bachelors of Science in May 2007 from the Pennsylvania State University. In July 2007 Marisa became recognized as a certified athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification. In May 2009 Marisa completed her Masters of Exercise Science at the George Washington University. While completing her degree, Marisa worked with the George Washington University’s women’s volleyball team for two years as a certified athletic trainer. Currently Marisa is the athletic trainer for Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda, MD where she is responsible for the prevention, recognition and treatment of athletic injuries for 150 female athletes. In her spare time Marisa enjoys gymnastics, weight lifting and distance running. She is currently training for her first half marathon.



Emily Fortunato, MS, VATL, ATC

Emily Fortunato, ATC

Emily Fortunato joined the M.O.S.T staff as an athletic trainer for in August 2009 after completing a 2 year graduate assistantship at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Emily splits her time between the clinic and Springbrook High School in Silver Spring, where she is responsible for the healthcare of all their athletic teams. During her time at GMU, Emily was the athletic trainer for the women’s soccer and baseball team while earning her Master’s degree in Exercise, Fitness, and Health Promotion.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Emily completed a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from The George Washington University in Washington, DC (2007) where she worked with the women’s basketball and gymnastics teams. She has also worked with Georgetown University’s football program and spent a summer with the Washington Mystics of the WNBA.

Emily was a 4 year letter winner in lacrosse and enjoys watching baseball and football, especially the Yankees and Giants.



Sara Nickoles, MS, ATC

Sara Nickoles, MS, ATC

Sara Nickoles joined the M.O.S.T. staff in February 2010 as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Sara earned her Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from Salisbury University in 2007 and recognized by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification in June of 2007. During her time at Salisbury, she doubled as a 3 year student-athlete as a member of the Women's Soccer team. She has worked with the men's basketball, softball and football teams at Salisbury University and completed her senior internship with D.C. United. Sara also obtained her Master's Degree in Exercise, Fitness and Health Promotion from George Mason University in May 2009. During her two years at George Mason University, she worked with the men's soccer team and the women's track and field teams, both of which participated in NCAA post season competition. She is currently the Co-Athletic Trainer of the Washington Freedom along side of Emily Fortunato. Both work with the team in injury prevention, injury evaluation and rehabilitation while traveling to games and practices. Raised in the area, Sara has been both a patient and intern of M.O.S.T. since 1996.
